Not all strangers are bad, not all are dangerous, and sometimes the danger is not from a stranger! Children need to be aware and prepared to identify and respond to threatening situations, regardless of the appearance or familiarity of an adult. This free community event for children ages 5-15 will focus on positive interactions with older children and adults, who and how to ask for help if they feel scared, and how to pay attention to what a person wants you to do, not what they look like. Our goal is to instill confidence in children so they will not be afraid to speak up and avoid danger if they encounter a situation that makes them uncomfortable.
